Hello there! I’m Emily, a first yer Modern and Medieval Languages student at Cambridge University.

Like many humanities students, I’ve been writing for a long time, usually with vaguely journalistic pretensions, and have a strong interest in the creative arts as well in social justice. I’m also guilty of ranting/raving to my long suffering friends about whatever interests/irritates/inspires me at any given moment, and so, in light of these two seemingly incongruous happenings, I decided to set up a blog where I’d be able to post about precisely the things which I would usually just rant to people about, in the hope of achieving something by being active rather than just passive, and engaging more people from a wider audience in a broad spectrum of issues! So welcome, get a cup of tea, and buckle up to read what is potentially the most wildly unpredictable blog this side (the northern side) of Birmingham!
